This leading off-highway company is seeking a diligent and proactive Imports Clerk to join their dynamic Imports & Duty Team, based in Birchwood, Warrington. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and compliant importation of goods, offering you the chance to make a significant impact within a reputable organisation.

What You Will Do

Liaise with HM Customs to ensure regulatory compliance and duty/tax avoidance.
Prepare, complete, and submit monthly returns of duties/taxes to HM Customs.
Operate the Duty Management System in accordance with HMRC requirements.
Ensure all import entries are compliant and support team KPIs.
Authorise and verify customs clearance agencies' use of company deferment accounts.
Maintain accurate records for audit and trade compliance purposes.
What You Will Bring

Strong administrative background and supply chain experience with an understanding of UK import formalities.
Keen attention to detail.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems, ideally SAP.
Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills, with experience in liaising with overseas suppliers.
Analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
