Our client based in Plymouth is a well-established and leading manufacturer of precision engineered products made from ferrous and non-ferrous metals used in some of the world’s most exciting and challenging environments.
Their high tolerance safety critical products can be found in various regulated markets such as Marine, Nuclear, Renewable Energy and Oil and Gas.
The company has a dedicated standards room used for quality and inspection requirements and has made a significant investment in this area over recent years.
If you are a keen enthusiastic motivated quality engineer, we would like to hear from you.
Key tasks include –
* First off and patrol inspection
* Goods inwards inspection
* Issue and control of drawings and paperwork
* Creation of inspection documents
* Ensuring measurement equipment is kept in line with calibration requirements.
* Document non-conformances and add to resolution logs.
* Flexible approach assisting other departments as required *(assembly & test)
You will need to
* Read engineering drawings and understand tolerances
* Use basic measuring tools
* Be familiar with Micro height and CMM digital measurement machines
* Work as part of an integrated production team
* Have a very keen eye for detail
* Be quality focused with right first-time approach
Ideally you will have:
* Worked previously within quality in a manufacturing or production environment
* Worked with tight tolerance or safety critical parts
* Experience of working in an ISO 9001 environment and experience of audit requirements
Salary level is in a band from £30 – 38,000 depending on experience but there is also plenty of training and career progression within a growing company
