Responsibilities:

Peraton is seeking a System Engineer/Information System Security Officer to support a criticalmission of consequence within our Cyber Mission Business Unit on TTO 5. The selected candidate willperform security scans to identify vulnerabilities and risks, and work with the Engineering team tomitigate the risks. The candidate is required to have experience with ensuring systems successfullycomplete the Assessments & Authorization (A&A) process.

In this role, you would be responsible for:

Validates and verifies system security requirements definitions and analysis and establish system security designs

Designs, develops, implements and/or integrates IA and security systems and systemcomponents including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments to includethose with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection/classification requirements

Builds IA into systems deployed to operational environments. Assists architects and systemsdevelopers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information securityfunctionality to ensure uniform application of Agency security policy and enterprise solutions.Supports the building of security architectures;

Enforce the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems andarchitectures;

Assess and mitigates system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle;

Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification andawareness activities for system and networking operations

Review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation, providing feedback on completenessand compliance of its content

Apply system security engineering expertise in one or more of the following: system securitydesign process; engineering life cycle; information domain; cross domain solutions; commercialoff-the-shelf and government off-the-shelf cryptography; identification; authentication; andauthorization; system integration; risk management; intrusion detection; contingency planning;incident handling; configuration control; change management; auditing; certification andaccreditation process; principles of IA (confidentiality. integrity, non-repudiation, availability, andaccess control); and security testing

Support security authorization activities in compliance with government Information SystemCertification and Accreditation Process and DoD Risk Management Framework (DoDRMF), NISTRisk Management Framework (RMF) process, and prescribed government business processes forsecurity engineering.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.

Seventeen (17) year’s experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.

Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, EngineeringScience, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university isrequired.Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Desired Qualifications:

DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 3, CISSP-ISSEP, is a plus but not required

Target Salary Range:

$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
