Description:

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Instrumentation Technicians for projects located in Chattanooga, TN.  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $25-35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:     

AC/DC stator rotor and armature winding with random and form coils 

Winding machines

Testing panels 

Core-less testers and surge testers

Inspect various electromechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunction

Test conditions of windings per standards 

Clean, check, file and drift core as necessary

Test and insert coils 

Maintain dimensions given on data sheets

Place leads, solder or braze connections 

Remove or install revolving field coils

Document all relevant data specific to units, electro-magnetics, characteristics, operation condition, existing damage or intended service

Fill out paperwork completely and legibly

Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding 

Inspect renewed parts for serviceability 

Requirements:

Minimum of 5+ years experience in the field 

Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and shop drawings 

Must have experience using calipers and reading micrometers

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Must be willing to work overtime
