Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Instrumentation Technicians for projects located in and around Knoxville, TN. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
AC/DC, Stator, Rotor, and Armature Winding with Random and Form Coils Fractional to 6,000/HP
Operate Specialized Testing Equipment including, but not limited to, Winding Machines, Test Panels, Surge Testers, Coreloss Testers, Cut Off Saws, Burnout Ovens, Bake Ovens, Grinders, Cranes, Forklifts, Brazing Units, Dip Tanks and Various Handheld Power Tools
Inspect Various Electromechanical Equipment for Damage and Evidence of Electrical Malfunction
Test Conditions of Windings
Check, Clean, File, and Drift Core
Test and Insert Coils and Maintain Dimensions Given on Data Sheets
Solder or Braze Connections
Insulate Drive Slot Wedges, Band as Necessary
Fasten, Remove, or Install Revolving Field Coils
Other Tasks as Assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 Years of Experience
Tools of the Trade
Able to Read Blueprints, Schematics, Shop Drawings
Reading Micrometres Machine Experience
Experience using Calipers
Physically Able to Perform the Tasks Assigned
Basic Knowledge and Use of Common Electronics and Programs
Able to Lift 50 Pounds
