About this Role:

Brink Constructors, Inc.

Provides administrative support to the HR team. Assists HR in onboarding of new hire employees and maintaining current employee files, completes additional duties as needed. 

Location: 

This full -time position will work from our Rapid City, South Dakota corporate office with typical working hours of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Pay:

This is an non-exempt/hourly position.  The pay range is $20-25/hour. Pay may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.

What You'll Do:

Assists new hires in creating NECS files, clearinghouse and query permissions

Process clearinghouse queries

Daily NECS checks on new hire status, accuracy, and completion of new hire driving files

Create in house driver files for employee

Submit records to Telogis

Review motor vehicle report results, NECS documents, and provide timely updates on trackers

Assist employees with self-certification and DOT medical cards, submits to applicable state

Upkeep of spreadsheets with any restrictions, expiration dates

Contact employees and new hires by phone, e-mail, text to gather all necessary documents

Update NECS with any terminations, new hires, or offboarded candidates

Complete previous employer DOT VOE's

Complete and sign annual review of driving records

TPA updates of new hires, terminations, and random drug screen pool categories

Advise staff of quarteryl random drug screens

Set up clinic appointments for random drug screens

Performing Administrative Activities — Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.

Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

Fluent in Microsoft Office - Excel proficiency is a must

Answers any incoming calls from new hires and current employees

Update and maintain databases

Retrieve information when requested

Type documents, reports and correspondence

Other duties as needed

What You'll Bring:

Required:

Drug Free Workplace: must submit and pass a pre-employment drug test

Previous Admin Assistant experience required

Computer literacy - must be proficient in Excel

Ability to multi-task while working with multiple departments company wide

Clerical — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Preferred:

Knowledge of HR processes' including I9's.

HRIS system experience

High School Diploma or GED, business college experience is helpful

Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively.

Service Orientation — Actively looking for ways to help people.

Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Competent computer skills including MS Office or equivalent

Internet skills including use of emails, group messaging and data collection

Propensity for multi-tasking

Pre-screen: Upon offer, employees will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
