Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Heart and Vascular Unit

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Heart and Vascular Unit in Rapid City, South Dakota. The RN will utilize the ANA Nursing Process (2010) to deliver exceptional care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, ensuring their well-being throughout their care journey.

Essential Functions:

Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health and situation.

Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.

Develops individualized care plans with strategies to attain expected outcomes.

Implements the identified care plan, ensuring patient progression.

Coordinates the delivery of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Provides health teaching and promotes a safe environment for patients.

Consults with specialists to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans accordingly.

ANA Standards of Professional Performance (2010):

Continuously improves the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.

Attains and maintains nursing knowledge and competencies.

Evaluates nursing practice in relation to standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver care.

Integrates ethical principles and research findings into practice.

Considers safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering services.

Provides leadership in the professional nursing practice setting.

Maintains an environmentally safe and healthy work environment.

Practices within the legal scope of nursing as outlined by the state and ensures adherence to regulatory requirements.

Supports the organization's mission, vision, and values.

Technology & Documentation:

Uses technology to document nursing activities and patient care.

Engages with work-related applications, including training modules, employee engagement surveys, and benefits information.

Continuously seeks innovative ways to improve patient care quality.

Additional Requirements:

Required:

Education: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Nurse (RN) licensed with the South Dakota Board of Nursing or Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities.

Preferred:

Experience: Acute care experience preferred.

Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.

Salary:

Starting at $30.00 per hour and up to $41.89 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Shift:

Full-time position; 12-hour shifts with a rotation for night and day shifts.
