Overview:

Responsibilities:

As an integral part of the Financial Planning team, you will be responsible for receipt and management of funding while working closely with other Business partners.

Responsibilities

Report to the manager of Financial Integration and Compliance.

Assist as point of contact for processing SPP funding packages and receipt and processing of the Approved Funding Program (AFP).

Prepare or review moderately complex summary reports, forecasting and variance reports.

Assist with SDRD audits and financial compliance initiatives.

Analyze monthly financial data and report budget performance progress.

Responsible for an assigned set of Work Breakdown Structures issued with the Monthly Financial Review packages for financial review meetings.

Analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems and possess the willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.

Achieve and maintain a high degree of accuracy in accomplishing work and ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.

Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or in related field and at least 2 years’ professional level experience, which has provided practical knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data, preferably in a government contractor environment, or equivalent training and experience.

Must possess independent judgment, creativity, initiative, and ability to apply knowledge and experience to resolve problems, compose correspondence and reports, and accomplish goals where established procedures may not be specific.

A high degree of organization skills and the ability to prioritize and schedule multiple activities successfully are required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary to supply accounting data, secure information on operations and problems, describe additional data when availability is needed, and furnish advice based on well-established principles and practices.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all types of people in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while maintaining confidentiality.

Highly competent with a multitude of software, including, but not limited to; accounting and spreadsheet software, compliance and data reporting, and query and financial analysis software.

Must possess creativity, initiative, and ability to apply knowledge and experience to supply accounting data and analyses, secure information on operations and problems, to explore

The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).

Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’
