Context:
Consultancy at SYSTRA focuses on transport planning and represent more than 800 staff in 7 countries. In order to structure a global offering, to strengthen the links between the consultancy entities and to propose multi-site delivery schemes, SYSTRA is looking for a business line manager who will be in charge of the Consultancy Group, a transversal technical group. He/She will act under the direction of the Consultancy Group steering committee, composed by the 7 Consultancy BU leaders: France, UK, Asia, Brasil, Canada, Australia and India.
The Business Line Manager will be hierarchically related to the Business Lines and Production department, created with the main goal to support the international business growth.
In its role, Business Lines and Production is to:
Define the strategic development of the Engineering centers worldwide
Support the different Business Units during bids, operations in their collaboration with the Engineering centers
Lead Transversal Business lines (Bridges, tunnels, consultancy, systems transverse group)
Propose Multi site production split between the different engineering centers of the group
Prepare main multi-site Bids/Tenders
Follow up main multi-site production projects
Propose coordination tools and ease the collaboration within the group
Coordinate the infrastructure technical networks throughout the group.
Missions/Main Duties:
The Transport planning Business Line Manager is in charge of:
He/she is one the three business lines leads and, consequently, he/she is the face of the Consultancy for SYSTRA as a Group
He/she is the point of contact of the Business Units (internal clients) and consultancy production teams (provider of services)
STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT
Organize and follow up the Consultancy Group meetings and workstreams
Define the purpose, the roadmap of the Consultancy Business Line, taking into consideration the specific needs of consultancy activities for SYSTRA : Raison d’être
Best services for the Group:Support the commercial strategy of the Bus
Experts network animation / community management, with support from BLP’s community manager
Support for meeting key clients when/if required
Based on coordination with the production teams, he/she is responsible for :The definition of the positioning of SYSTRA, as a Group, in the consultancy market for the core business:Definition of the value chain
Mapping of skills and services per BU
Group positioning on the value chain
The elaboration and promotion of portfolio of services of SYSTRA as a Group.
Coordinate with BLP production strategy lead to develop a 5years production strategic plan, for consultancy services
MARKETING/COMMUNICATION
Develop the brand of the consultancy group
Define the strategy of communication for the business line (Symposium, conferences etc…)
BIDS SUPPORT AND OPERATION COORDINATION
Coordinating technical bids with the different Consultancy BUs and interfacing with the SYSTRA internal clients (Bus from Home Countries / International East or West). Propose smart production split between the different Engineering Centers
Setup the project multi-site organization after award and follow up on the project operations.
Pipe follow up for major bids
Define and support the implementation of the digital strategy for consultancy services, in support of other functions
Profile/Skills:
Master degree / Civil Engineer ou Urban Engineer
10+ years’ experience working in the Transportation planning business in international assignments.
Fluent in English required. Portuguese and French are a +.
Capacity to work with multinational teams
