Senior Residential Childcare Worker (SRCW) – M18

Location: M18
Salary: £12.00 per hour
Additional: £50 per sleep-in
Shifts: Full staff rota, 2 on, 3 off (subject to change based on the needs of the home and children).

Job Overview: We are looking for a Senior Residential Childcare Worker (SRCW) to join our team in an EBD home with an Outstanding OFSTED rating. The role involves providing direct care and support to children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, contributing to their development, and ensuring they are safe and nurtured within the home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality care and support to children, including assistance with personal development, social skills, and emotional well-being.
Be a role model and lead by example, promoting positive behaviour and relationship-building.
Work collaboratively with the team to deliver the best care and achieve the home’s goals.
Manage shifts and ensure smooth handovers.
Keep accurate records and contribute to care plans.
Participate in and support activities with the children.
Undertake sleep-in duties as required.
Comply with all safeguarding regulations and care standards.
Requirements:

Experience working in a residential childcare setting.
Knowledge of working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including sleep-ins.
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Description: Team Leader – M28 – Good OFSTED Rating

Location: M28
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Additional: £50 per sleep-in
Shifts: Full staff rota, 2 on, 3 off (subject to change based on the needs of the home and children).

Job Overview: We are recruiting for an experienced Team Leader for our EBD home in M28, rated Good by OFSTED. The role involves leading the team in providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, ensuring compliance with OFSTED and safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the team on shift to ensure high-quality care is delivered to children.
Provide support, guidance, and supervision to staff members.
Ensure the safety and well-being of the children in the home.
Assist in care planning, risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to safeguarding protocols.
Monitor and review the performance of staff, providing feedback and development opportunities.
Ensure OFSTED standards are maintained and contribute to improving the home's rating.
Manage rota shifts, handovers, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
Engage with children to build positive relationships and promote personal development.
Requirements:

Experience in a senior or leadership role within a residential childcare setting.
Strong understanding of working with children with EBD and challenging behaviours.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (Level 5 preferred).
Ability to work flexible shifts, including sleep-ins.
