Role: Children's Senior Residential Support Worker - NEW 2 bed EBD Home
Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire
Hours: 08:00 - 23:00 plus sleep finish 08:30 next day then 2 days off shift pattern
Salary: £34,812 per annum rising to £35,662 per annum after 6 months probation period

With the support of a very passionate, nurturing home manager and experienced deputy manager you will join them in creating a wonderful family feel home for children with emotional and behavioural disorders.
The Children’s Senior Residential Support Worker role:
* You will become part of a small, caring team supporting up to 2 children or young people with emotional and behavioural disorders.
* You will work a 24 hour shift (including sleep) then 2 days off shift pattern.
* Providing outstanding care to children while applying their individual care plans
* Taking the children on activities, to appointments, school.
* Liaising with families and professionals to ensure the best possible care is being provided and carried out
* Taking a proactive approach in supporting the children with attending and engaging in their education.
* To make and maintain accurate records of the child’s day, including any incidents that may occur.
* Carry out general housekeeping duties, including cooking, cleaning, and completing health and safety checks
* Apply safeguarding knowledge to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in the home.
* Comply with GDPR and Health and Safety regulations
* Leading shifts day to day and supporting the Residential Support Workers in their duties.
* Overseeing petty cash and medication on your shift
To apply:
* Essential - Full UK Driving Licence
* Essential 2 years experience in a children’s residential service
* Essential Level 3 or Level 4 children's residential qualification completed or near completion.
* Essential - Resilience, self-motivation and the enthusiasm to engage with active, challenging young people
* Desirable - experience of leading a small team
* Essential - Able to work 1 day on 2 days off shift pattern with an overnight sleep (3 week rolling rota pattern)
*This company do not offer VISA sponsorships*
