Anglian Windows Limited are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to work within this experienced and well-run company to gain a Level 2 apprenticeship in Supply Chain Warehouse Operative. The aim is to become a full qualified Warehouse Operative who can work in a variety of warehouse environments.
This position is offered on a full-time, fixed term contract for 18 months.
This role requires study and completion of the relevant apprenticeship qualification, you will complete a minimum of 6 hours a week for study and off the job training to complete this course.
Role Overview
You will be trained within our warehouse operations department. This practical learning will be backed up by off the job training and study.
What you’ll be doing:
Manually unload lorries and quality check goods in
Organise products into the correct storing areas, with Anglian procedures
Maintain the warehouse, loading, unloading and skip areas to be clean and tidy
Pick, prepare and cut plastic orders for despatch to our installation teams
Maintain accurate stock levels with good accurately using scanners, with Anglian optimisation
What you must have:
Numeracy and literacy skills, minimum GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Ability and willingness to study for the qualification including off the job training opportunities
Accurate and organised record keeping skills
Good observation and information gathering skills, able to identify and gather relevant and necessary evidence
Ability to remain calm and always focussed
46-55% of this role’s time will be spend on external communication
Regular reviews with your line manager, develop a personal development plan, as well as opportunities to undertake training
