HR Advisor / 6 Month contract / Full time / £400 per day umbrella
My client, a local authority, are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join them on an initial 6-month contract. Within this role you will lead and support large scale organisational change and because of this you should have a strong background in managing complex HR processes, change and development initiatives. As a HR advisor in this role, you should be confident in restructures, new strategies and developing staff engagement.
Role and responsibilities:
Lead the HR aspects of the organisational change, including potential restructuring and redundancies
Develop and implement a comprehensive staff engagement strategy to effectively communicate the change process
Ensure consistent and transparent communication to support staff through the transition
Draft new job descriptions where necessary and manage the job evaluation process to ensure all roles are correctly aligned with the new structure
Collaborate with senior management to support the development and approval of the business case for change, ensuring that HR considerations are integrated into strategic decision-making
Lead efforts to address cultural change, staff training, and other necessary interventions to ensure the workforce is aligned with the new organisational direction
Identify training needs and coordinate development programmes to support staff in adapting to new roles, responsibilities, and cultural shiftsEssential Skills:
Proven experience in HR change management within a large organisation, preferably in a public sector or local authority setting
Strong knowledge of organisational reorganisation, including managing redundancies, job evaluations, and redeployment processes
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
Experience in writing and reviewing job descriptions and leading job evaluation processes
Demonstrated ability to manage the HR implications of large-scale change projects, including staff engagement and culture change
Knowledge of UK employment law, particularly around redundancies and reorganisations.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlinesPackage:
