Role: Children’s Support Worker

Location: Meldreth, Nr. Royston

Hours: 40 hours per week including earlies, lates, long days and weekends

Salary: Between £24,375 - £26,582 per annum

Busy Bee Recruitment are currently working with a national Care and Education company who specialise in providing residential living facilities alongside SEN schooling for young people with learning difficulties and complex health needs. We currently have opportunities for an experienced, energetic, and committed Children’s Support Worker to join their team working to support their Care team supporting the Children’s service on site.

Role and responsibilities:

* Prompting the Children to become more independent in everyday living before, during and after school,

* Assisting with all aspects of personal care

* Taking the Children to any social or medical appointment

* Attending days out whilst on shift etc cinema, horse riding, bowling, trips to the beach etc.

* Liasing with parents / guardians and key workings regarding the Children’s progress.

* Assisting with meal preparations and planning / getting involved in fun activities within the service.

* Be a positive and friendly face to the service users and to build trust relationships in order to give them the best support.

* A genuine passion for supporting others

* Ability to work well within a team

* Excellent communication skills
