Position: Deputy Manager
Location: Birmingham Area
Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, particularly in caring for residents with varying health needs, including advanced dementia. This role requires a compassionate leader who can manage staff efficiently, conduct safeguarding investigations, and perform clinical risk assessments to ensure the highest standard of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
Resident Care
Provide high-quality care to residents, focusing on those with advanced dementia and other complex health needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Staff Management
Supervise and support nursing and care staff, ensuring they are well-trained and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and development opportunities to staff members.

Clinical Oversight
Perform clinical risk assessments and ensure appropriate measures are in place to mitigate risks.
Lead safeguarding investigations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Compliance and Standards
Ensure the facility meets all regulatory requirements and maintains high standards of care.
Stay updated with best practices and advancements in nursing and dementia care.
Communication

Act as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
Address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

Requirements
Experience
Proven experience working as a Deputy Manager, Senior Nurse, or in a similar role.
Extensive experience in caring for residents with various health needs, including advanced dementia.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse with an active PIN (preferred but not essential).
Relevant qualifications in nursing or healthcare management.

Skills
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
