Overview:
Now offering a $1,500 sign on bonus for Medical Assistant New Hires!
Effective April 1, 2024 and expires December 1, 2024. Applicable only for MA & MOS positions in the Centers of Excellence and Maryland Family Care practices, of which this role applies to.
The Plastic and Reconstructive Medical Assistant plays a vital role in the day to day operations of the practice to ensure efficient patient care. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, communication, and compassionate care.
Responsibilities:
The following duties fall under the responsibility of the Medical Assistant but are not limited to:
Rooming patients and obtaining vitals
Entering patient information into electronic medical record (EMR)
Setting up and assisting with office procedures
Chaperone providers during patient examination
Taking pre-op and post-op photos of patients
Maintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS)
Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology
Maintaining and stocking exam rooms
ordering clinical supplies
Completing FMLA and Disability forms
Cleaning and resetting exam rooms
Travel to satellite locations as needed
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
License Requirements:
N/A
Certification Requirements:
CPR-preferred
Medical Assistant Certification- preferred
Age Specific Care Provided For:
Adolescents
Adults
Geriatrics
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel

Epic (if applicable to position)
Performance Manager/NetLearning
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
