Overview:

As the Admissions and Recruitment Counselor at Propel Career Academy, your primary responsibility is to manage and oversee the recruitment, admissions, and enrollment processes for VA and military students while providing specialized support through veteran education initiatives.

In this role, you will ensure that military students are effectively recruited, guided through their educational journey from application to enrollment, and supported throughout their studies. You will also assist military students and veterans with the admissions process, VA forms, and other requirements to ensure successful enrollment and ongoing support.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy for veteran students and dependents to attract qualified candidates.

Manage the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment, ensuring a positive experience for all prospective students.

Provide guidance to veterans and military students regarding educational programs, eligibility, and the application process.

Assist students with VA forms and coordinate with VA offices to ensure smooth processing of veteran benefits.

Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaigns and materials that promote apprenticeship opportunities to prospective students.

Establish and maintain relationships with local schools, military bases, and community organizations to enhance recruitment efforts.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Texas Workforce Commission and VA Certifying Official requirements.

Use data and feedback to continuously improve the admissions and recruitment process, ensuring the highest level of service and program effectiveness.

Represent Propel at career fairs, industry events, and veteran support initiatives to promote the academy’s programs both in the community and on campus.

Work closely with the leadership team to align recruitment efforts with the academy’s strategic goals.

Maintain a thorough understanding of VA regulations and communicate updates to students and staff as necessary.

Support recruitment efforts for all students.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or student services, preferably in education or vocational training programs.

Proven experience supporting veterans or managing veteran education programs.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field preferred.

Strong knowledge of the admissions process, including student counseling, recruitment strategies, and application procedures.

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with VA Certifying Official processes and Texas Workforce Commission regulations is a plus.

Previous experience in an educational or vocational training environment is highly preferred.

Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance recruitment efforts.

Passion for student success and a commitment to educational excellence.

Knowledge of Title IV requirements and the accreditation process.

Familiarity with apprenticeship programs, particularly in the trades or technical fields, is advantageous.

Previous military experience or experience working with military students is preferred.
