The Education Specialists are looking for an experienced Attendance Officer in Manchester.

You will povide guidance to senior staff, as well as administrative support to all issues related to raising standards of student attendance and punctuality.

The Attendance Officer is to proactively support and engage with students and their families within their allocated year groups to improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absence.

Duties include, but not limited to -

* Phone calls and home visits to families relating to attendance concerns i

* Striving to improve the attendance of vulnerable groups of pupils in particular, in order to improve the overall attendance and punctuality

* Sharing attendance information and expectations across the school community to ensure attendance is consistently tackled and supportive measures are put in place

* Daily monitoring and updating of registers

* Accurately dealing with requests for leave of absence for exceptional circumstances and maintaining the relevant paperwork connected to these

* Working in collaboration with the Safeguarding Lead to prepare attendance reports for agency meetings as requested

Experience in this role is essential.
