GSL Education are looking for an Attendance officer to work within our client academy in Sheffield.
About the role
This role requires overseeing attendance for the academy, ensuring that students are present and engaged in their education and chasing up non - attenders via phone. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing school attendance and must be proficient in the use of SIMS software in particular the Attendance function within SIMS.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage student attendance records.
Identify and address attendance issues promptly.
Work closely with Academy staff, parents, and external agencies to improve student attendance.
Prepare and maintain accurate attendance reports.
Undertake basic reception duties
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Attendance Officer or in a similar role within an educational setting.
Proficient in the use of SIMS software particularly the Attendance function
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
