LRL are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer / Plant Mechanic for a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Blackpool.
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum + Overtime
Hours: 40hours per week, Monday - Thursday, 8:00am-17:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 14:30pm. Overtime available.
Responsibilities
To carry out safety critical repairs, modifications and maintenance to road/rail excavators and equipment used within the rail industry, in the workshop, at customer's facilities or on site as required.
Assist in the ongoing manufacture of new and innovative machinery
The repair and maintenance of plant and equipment, including modifications and upgrades of plant and machinery
Examination and repair of faults on plant and equipment
Diagnostics testing
Evaluate information and data interpretation of technical information
Installing safety and productivity systems to machinery
Assembling and testing of new build machinery
Provide support in special projects/scheduled servicing of vehicles and plant
Required Qualifications
NVQ 3 or equivalent - in engineering trade
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
An eye for detail and good design
Excellent numeracy skills
Strong communication skills
Excellent people and time management skills
The ability to work well both as part of a team and on your own
PTS Certification (desirable)
Road/Rail maintenance competency certificate (desirable)
Forklift truck driving (desirable)
