SRG are looking for a number of experienced lab technicians to join a new and expanding company in Derbyshire. The Lab Technician position is at first on a fixed-term basis until February 2025, with a good possibility of a transition to a full-time, permanent role based on performance evaluations conducted in February 2025.

Job Specification

Testing and analysing drinks to meet customer and industry standards.
Controlling packaging adherence to specifications.
Maintaining laboratory equipment and performing calibration audits.
Conducting sensory analyses on finished products.
Placing non-conforming products on hold as needed.
Conducting environmental and effluent analysis.
Upholding impeccable hygiene standards across all production areas.
Collecting microbiological samples and preparing them in the on-site laboratory.

The ideal candidate

The successful applicant will have at experience in a similar role within a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage laboratory sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills, the capability to work autonomously, and a keen attention to detail.

Salary package £32,396.39 (comprising a basic salary of £27,378 p/a and a shift allowance of £5,018.39).
