We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5-8 years’ experience to join our MEP team in Tampa, FL. 

The Mechanical Engineer will have strong plumbing design skills and willl report to a market sector team leader and/or director of the company. The Mechanical Engineer has ultimate responsibility for both the quality and effective execution of project assignments.

Responsibilities:

Design HVAC systems, including piping, ductwork, and equipment selection and sizing

Plan and manage the design of HVAC systems including duct work, piping and equipment sizing and selection for a variety of project types including multifamily, retail and hospitality

Qualifications:

Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license required

Proficient with Revit

Experience with industry standard software including Microsoft products, COMcheck, and Trane TRACE

Ability to work in and lead a fast-paced, collaborative team

Ability to manage multiple projects, including tasks and deadlines through to completion

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering 

4 or more years of experience specific to Mechanical HVAC design for new building construction

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Work is performed in an office setting.  Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate a computer, keyboard and mouse.  Use of a telephone headset will allow for virtual communication with team members through Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit for prolonged periods, use hands/fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms, speak and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
