Overview:
Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Electronics Technician at our Florida Engineering office in Boynton Beach, FL.
Electronics Technicians work in a hands-on environment as members of cross-functional engineering teams – supporting the development of new products. They work closely with some of the best engineers in the industry and can be involved in the product development process from initial concept, through the development, testing, manufacturing, and support phases.
As part of their career development, Electronics technicians rotate through Lutron's multiple engineering teams, gaining exposure to the broad range of technologies employed in our products. Some of these technologies include: Power electronics, analog and digital electronics, wired and wireless communication, software test automation, Ethernet communication, and embedded micro-controllers. A mentoring program, tuition reimbursement, along with continued learning through “Lutron University” enhances the professional and intellectual advancement of our technicians.
Responsibilities:
Extensive design verification testing of analog and digital circuits
Software testing including user interfaces and communication protocols
Hardware and software prototyping
Troubleshooting software and hardware
Assisting in transitioning designs from engineering into manufacturing / production
Directly supporting end customers
Qualifications:
2 year degree in Electronics Technology, Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology, or equivalent Degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher
Familiarity with the fundamentals of electricity and basic wiring
No experience required but 1 - 3 years hands-on experience working with electronics preferred
