Join Sodexo Senior Living at Asbury Methodist Village,Gathersburg, Maryland is the 10th-largest CCRC in the nation! We are looking for a dynamic Food Operations Manager 3 our food service operations at the Wilson Health Care Center (serving 140 residents) and Kindley Assisted Living (with a retail café serving 135 residents).  A Dietary Manager Certification (CDM) is required Or provide proof you are in the process of receiving.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily food service operations

Manage a team of approximately 65 hourly employees

Report directly to the General Manager

Typical shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with every 3rd weekend coverage

We are looking for candidates who will:

have oversight of day-to-day operations (dining room service and retail cafe);

implement Sodexo systems and programs, and oversee training of staff;

continuously evaluates service to ensure patient and client satisfaction;

drive employee engagement and patient satisfaction through strong leadership skills;

integrate fully within our client's organization and be a trusted advisor with a customer service focus;

achieve company and client financial targets and goals;

develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships;

develop strategic plans;

create a positive environment; and

ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have:

3 or more years of previous food service management experience ideally in healthcare or retirement community;

strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate staff;

a Dietary Manager Certification (CDM) is required 

a work history demonstrating strong leadership and hospitality skills and the ability to work collaboratively;

the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

knowledge of compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards;

the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and

strong computer skills and report management experience.
