A client of ours in the Basildon (Laindon) area are recruiting a Production Coordinator to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working 37.5 hours Monday - Friday and paying a negotiable salary depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
Review production orders to set start and target completion dates
Maintain an accurate status of when production orders are going to be ready for release (target availability date)
Monitor component delivery estimates against production order completion targets
Review production orders due to start assembly, identify outstanding materials and expedite shortages with the purchasing team
Work with internal departments to ensure drawings & documentation are available for all production orders
Issue complete production orders to the relevant person to progress to assembly/machine build
Work with the shop floor to maintain an accurate status of production order build and progress
Ensure the WIP cage system is maintained correctly
Liaise with the shop floor to resolve queries with shortages during the assembly of production orders
Liaise with the design departments when the mechanical or electrical technicians have raised an issue to rectify any problems with an issued production order to allow the build and assembly to progress
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Production Coordinator position:
Systematic approach
Able to collaborate effectively with people across departments
Experience in a project environment in cross-functional project teams
Engineering background/experience
Understanding of planning and materials management/control
Experience with manufacturing systems (ERP/MSP/MRP)
Excellent communication skills
Highly organised
