Job Overview:

We have a brand-new vacancy within our manufacturing facility for a Production Coordinator who will work alongside the production team to manage the workflow and lead times of customer orders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, detailed orientated individual who enjoys working within a busy production environment and feels confident interacting with customers. A professional who demonstrates strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and the confidence in communicating at all levels.

Hours: Monday to Friday; 8:30am – 17:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for order processing which will include:

1. Checking the prices are correct.

2. Checking the lead time is achievable – which will include a review of the current drawing periods and approval periods.

3. Acknowledge to the customer confirming dates of when drawings will be issued and when you need approval by.

* Co-ordinate and negotiate with the customer where short lead times are requested.

* Follow up with customers to get an update on when approvals are required to ensure this is processed on time to release for production.

* Act as key point of contact for customers to check the update on the production of goods and progress.

* Responsible for maintaining the data/dates on the operational system for accurate status updates and tracking jobs.

* Create Works orders for the shop floor once the projects are approved.

* Maintain the holiday schedule which needs developing so we can calculate the available hours per week per department.

* Provide low level quotations to customers as and when required.

Experience Required:

* Previous experience within a customer facing role.

* Experience within production planning would be highly beneficial.

* A good level of administration and IT skills.

* An outgoing and confident team player.

The Airedale Group is expanding rapidly, employing circa 700 people across multiple locations in the UK. This is a newly created role, with scope to progress and play a key part in a successful, industry leading business
