Nelson Permanent Placements are proud to be representing a nationwide Facilities Management Company based in Birmingham. Due to expansion within the company, they are looking to add a Fabric Engineer to their team to be based on site at a large entertainment facility based in Birmingham.

This role is for a hands on working Fabric Engineer with a good understanding of general building services and estate management. The purpose of the role is to assist the Technical Services team in the provision of FM Services whilst delivering a high-quality and statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate will hold a CSCS card, IPAF or PASMA, is computer literate and knows the compliance side

To be considered for the role you will have experience with …

* Carpentry

* Plumbing

* Plastering

* Painting

* Roofing

* Ceramic Tiling

And be experience in both reactive small works and planned Maintenance.

The role will be responsible for assisting in the operation, repair and maintenance of the building and the below ….

* Fabric repairs to fire doors, flooring and painting and decorating.

* Ensure that routine fabric maintenance is carried out to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.

* Ensure that all reactive tasks logged are carried out to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.

* The Fabric Technician will be required to carry out all moves and changes that the client requires to be carried out.

* Undertake painting, decorating, and a full range of DIY tasks to ensure the meeting of service levels and to maintain an attractive decorative environment.

* Ensure the loading and unloading of stock, and appropriate and safe storage of relevant equipment, spares and deliveries

* Presentable and able to communicate at all levels.

* Able to use a Tablet to produce paperwork and reports. (Training Given).
