About us

A small (but expanding), forward-thinking firm providing high-quality employment law services. They are recruiting for 4 new positions due to their expansion program including for an experienced Employment Law Solicitor. It’s a great working environment where the organization doesn’t set unreasonable daily billing hours or expect employees to work over their paid hours.

They offer advice on all aspects of employment law to employees and employers. The businesses we advise range from micro-businesses to large companies with UK branches.

If you’re an Employment Law Solicitor who is fed up with traveling to London and wants a better quality of life working locally, we would love to hear from you.

Areas of responsibility:

* Experience representing both employees and employers in contentious and non-contentious matters.

* A working knowledge of the law on restrictive covenants, unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, whistleblowing, and TUPE.

* Experience preparing contracts of employment and staff handbooks.

* Experience advising on settlement agreements.

* Good computer skills, and familiar with using Microsoft365, Clio, or similar software

* Prepared ET1, ET3, particulars of claim, and grounds of resistance.

* Have appeared at the Employment Tribunal, at least on preliminary matters.

* Has the ability to progress in every matter and keep clients up to date using excellent communication skills

* Has the ability to provide clear information on fees throughout, to help clients keep control of their costs.

Experience & Skills

The Employment Law Solicitor should have the following:

* We’re recruiting for an experienced Employment Law Solicitor with around 3 years or more PQE who can demonstrate an understanding of what their clients are hoping to achieve, plan strategically, and apply the law, with accuracy.

Benefits:

* Salary range £43,000 to £49,000 (pro rata if part-time)

* 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

* Flexible hours: They are happy to hear from part-time and full-time applicants and can discuss working hours with the right candidate, to find an arrangement that suits you and the firm.

Genuine work/life balance: We appreciate that you have a life outside of work, and don’t expect you to work over your time or be available out of hours. We understand if you need to fit in an appointment, childcare, or other commitment. We foster an environment of mutual respect and trust.

Make an impact: We believe it is only worth hiring great people if you allow them to excel. We are a collaborative firm and welcome ideas from everyone in the team. You will work closely with the rest of our team, including our Principal Solicitor.

If you’re an Employment Law Solicitor who is fed up with traveling to London and wants a better quality of life working locally, we would love to hear from you.
