Senior Manager, Credit Risk Analytics

Carrollton, TX

Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Credit Risk Analytics is responsible for becoming a leader within the Credit Risk organization while growing and enhancing the Company’s portfolio performance. You will design, develop and maintain risk models and quantitative strategies that support the customer approval process, decision engine logic, and overall customer risk management. In this position, you will collaborate regularly with Operations, Finance, Data Team and Product Management teams to collect & analyze large sets of data, develop and conduct analyses, build models, design underwriting strategies, and make recommendations to manage customer risk, maximize revenue, improve margins, and create significant value for the business.

Responsibilities:

Build and refine credit risk strategies for lending products, continuously improving approval criteria, credit limit cut offs, and overall performance.

Present clear and actionable business strategies to senior management, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Use data analytics to identify trends in portfolio performance, offering strategic recommendations to optimize risk in line with company goals.

Develop code and execute queries to extract, manage and analyze existing data.

Design strategies (and tests) to constantly refine risk models, decision engine logic and pricing parameters.

Create the necessary reporting and monitoring processes to track portfolio performance of underwriting models and strategies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uncover new insights from data, recognize patterns, and present recommendations to the Executive team.

Undertake ad-hoc analysis as needed to support business objectives.

Qualifications:

Advanced degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, etc.)

Numbers focused background and strong analytical skills including experience with analytical software, e.g. SQL, Python. Enjoy solving complex business problems.

6+ years in decision analytics, risk modeling and/or predictive statistics related functions

Proficient with the use of advanced statistical analysis software and capabilities (fluency in at least two of the following: R, Python, SAS, SQL, PowerBI)

Strong experience with data architecture, data mining and data integration

Ability to conduct extensive data research and handle large datasets

Experience in Subprime Unsecured Lending, FinTech, Risk Management, etc.

Exposure to managing Unsecured Loan Portfolio (BIG plus)

Ability to communicate complex ideas concisely, in both written & oral formats
