Overview:
The Ready to Heat (RTH) Machine Operator’s primary responsibility is to support the running of Kitchen and Assembly equipment to ensure maximization of uptime, including being able to safely start, operate and lock out a piece of equipment. When the use of machine operation is not necessary or all machine-related tasks are complete, the machine operator will complete other production tasks as assigned, including but not limited to maintaining the RTH Drop Zone. The Machine Operator is responsible for performing tasks according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment
Always keep safety first while using all equipment
Must complete training on all RTH machinery, including but not limited to: MAP machines, metal detectors, sleeve printers, ovens, tilt skillets, blast chillers, and sani-tunnel, and be able to show understanding on how to operate the equipment safely and efficiently
Must be able to control and adjust machine settings to include setups, calibration, cleaning, etc.
Conducts basic troubleshooting on equipment
Completes standard equipment set up as per startup checklist and product changeovers without the assistance of maintenance techs
Must be able to inspect product output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
Submit work orders for any machine issues unable to be resolved at operator level
Train new Leads and employees on RTH equipment
Perform operator PM’s
Perform visual inspections on all machinery and report any issues to Maintenance
Document machine settings and ensure they are operating within Centerlines
Clean MAP sensors at least once per shift
Maintain RTH Drop Zone
Submit warehouse requests for any ingredients or packaging items needed
Tag items that are no longer needed with putback cones and communicate with Warehouse
Maintain organization of drop zone
Safety:
Follows all lock out tag out procedures and refrains from using machine when locked or tagged out
Follows all procedures for safe operation of machinery
General Responsibilities:
Must be able to submit progress of production throughout the shift
Follow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facility
Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs
This position requires 0% travel.
