Who we are::

Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital is looking for a Full-time or Part-time (3 or 4 days per week) Veterinary Technician or technician assistant for our small animal hospital in beautiful Ladera Ranch. Work in upscale Ladera Ranch 15 minutes from the coast in southern Orange County.

Qualifications:  

Must be able to run anesthesia and perform dental prophylaxis  

Self-driven accountability for learning  

Positive Attitude  

Ability to prioritize and multitask  

Driven, has initiative and eagerness to learn

Administer in-patient and hospitalized patient care  

Schedule: 10-hour shifts; must have one day of weekend availability

Responsibilities:  

Perform dental prophylaxis  

Perform venipuncture, IV-catheter, and injection administration  

General patient care  

Set up, position, and take digital radiographs  

Collect, set up, and interpret in-house laboratory and cytology tests  

Monitor anesthesia and assisting in surgical procedures  

Educate clients on preventive care and follow up care  

Properly and safely restrain patients, reliably and with compassion to prepare for procedures performed by technicians and/or doctors
