Job Summary::
The Regional Sales Manager at Kansas Asphalt is responsible for upholding the use of quality materials and procedures, adhering to budgets to complete tasks or purchase materials and reviewing contracts to make sure that current practices align with the owner’s expectations. This role will work closely with the Project Manager and Contractor to identify the project’s budget and establish tools, materials and professionals needed to achieve these goals. Your job is to hire qualified construction workers and set deadlines for each phase of construction. You will conduct frequent site visits to track progress and make sure that workers have a safe environment to conduct their job duties.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities::
You will also be responsible for overseeing the implementation of business objectives among company sales and marketing. Your duties include comparing current sales numbers to desired quotas and meeting with upper management to discuss your progress. You are responsible for helping Iowa Asphalt, Inc. obtain better brand recognition and financial growth. You will coordinate with company executives and sales to review current trends in order to propose new business ideas that can improve revenue margins.
The person who holds this position will be charged with effectively and successfully managing office, sales and construction operations.This work encompasses several duties and responsibilities, including, but not limited to:
Manage Sales, Operations, and Construction functions at our Iowa location.
Lead Iowa operation to attain company’s sales and revenue volume goals.
Develop, implement, and achieve budgets and forecasts.
Produce organizational strategy and plans and manage delivery, measurement and follow-up as necessary.
Hire, train, and supervise branch personnel in order to achieve growth standards.
Implement and supervise customer satisfaction program and oversee all office operations.
Oversee job scheduling to ensure that they are being done in a timely manner.
Hire, train, supervise, and collaborate with superintendents to ensure jobs are being performed profitably and in accordance with company guidelines.
Routinely report and monitor status of jobs and personnel in assigned region.
Perform Job Costing.
Implement performance improvement plans or termination activities when necessary. Communicates expectations and standard of performance
Maintain current client relationship and identifying areas for potential clients
Develop new sales areas and improving sales through various methods
Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business
Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive
Identify and research potential clients
Develop and maintain client relationships
Track and report on the status of proposal components
Create and implement processes and policies to support the overall business
Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
Familiarity with the industry including equipment, logistics and supply-chain management
Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients.
Ensure that a project is adequately staffed.
Develop a work schedule for workers.
