Summary

The Quality and Safety Manager is responsible for managing and ensuring the effective overall administration of Quality and Safety Management Systems including the management, coordination, monitoring and auditing of the relevant ISO Quality and Safety Systems. Gather data, creates reports, facilitates all safety and quality-based initiatives, ability to present to various levels of personnel, and communicates with management to validate service levels for the customer.  Possesses the ability to document procedures in the company designated format and seeks to understand processes with an ability to determine to suggest controls to meet quality/safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Gathers data and reports to management via weekly/monthly reports to validate service levels for the customer and on-site leadership.

Identifies problem areas and takes the lead in facilitating the changes needed to come to a resolution.

Establish/Administrates, facilitates, and monitors all aspects of an ISO Quality System including, but not limited to creation/maintenance of training files, layered process audits, process/work instruction documentation, conduct Management Review, and risk evaluation/mitigation.

Establish/Administrates, facilitates, and monitors Safety protocols.

Provides updated documents to conform to ISO standards and is involved with customer third party audit teams.

Lead all nonconformity and customer complaint investigations within contract or Walker time guidelines.

Establish historical trending analysis to better define the corrective actions to implement.

Establish/Administrate Safety and Layered Process Audits (LPA) so that all members of the site Leadership team are involved.

Develop/Administrate validation protocols for new equipment, process, PPAP, control plans, FMEA, etc.

Directs corrective actions including planning, training, and follow up.

Completes administrative duties with accuracy and timeliness.  

Maintains applicable logs to document compliance and safety and quality indicators (ie OSHA 300 series, calibration records, etc.).

Establish, administrates, and monitor in-process and final quality specifications and metrics.

Updates all quality records to be in conformance with system requirements.

Completes and processes metrics with timeliness and accuracy.  

Involved with monitoring, reporting error trends by commodity/employee for possible disciplinary action if warranted.

Create and reviews SOPs, work instructions, forms, audits, and key individual for quality system

  Manage MHE Training program with Certified Trainer(s) to ensure program meets Walker and contract guidelines.

Facilitates investigation of all safety incidents and is a primary contact for all incident follow up procedures

Issuance of Safety Alerts, Conduct Safety Audits, and administers Lock out/Tag out program, as applicable to the Site of employment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.

• 5 Years relevant work experience at a similar level.

• 3 Years of auditing experience related to ISO 9001 or similar standard(s).

• Experience working with Continual Improvement methodologies and tools.

• Proficiency with MS Office suite.

• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.

•Creole is a plus.
