How you make a difference:

The Procurement Specialist is a crucial member of the procurement team responsible for managing strategic sourcing and tactical purchasing activities to support various functional groups, including Operations, Clinical Administration, and IT. This role involves utilizing strategic sourcing levers to deliver cost reductions while improving service levels and managing vendor partners effectively. The Procurement Specialist also works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure their procurement needs are met and provide support as necessary. 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead contract negotiations and renewals through the RFI/RFP process to maximize enterprise-wide purchasing power, and drive contract and vendor compliance to national agreements. 

Maintain strong vendor relationships and continually seek opportunities for cost savings and value maximization, while monitoring savings and tracking budget impact. 

Manage formulary/catalog, ensuring timely updates and effective management of inventory. 

Contribute to cross-functional teams in developing sourcing strategies, and develop project plans and timelines for new programs or projects. 

Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws to ensure ethical and professional behavior by the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or finance.   

Experience 

Large corporate experience is preferred.  

Must be able to manage and complete multiple projects and RFP’s driving excellent results.
