$2500 signing bonus!

Weekly pay Vacation, Sick, Vacation, Birthday Pay and more!Company provided tools  This position will perform repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment to ensure proper operation by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:

Repair and maintain heavy duty transportation equipment

Use hand tools and precision instruments, as well as power tools

Inspect brake system, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other systems/parts to ensure proper working condition.

Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, checking batteries, lubricating equipment and machinery.

Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, and reassemble equipment

Test drive trucks and heavy duty equipment to diagnose malfunctions or ensure proper working order.

Inspect, test and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions.

Possess knowledge and ability to operate maintenance equipment and hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance in a thorough, safe manner.

Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, and detect and report malfunctioning equipment to management.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and safety procedures.

Responsible for mounting and dismounting truck and trailer tires.

Recondition and replace parts, pistons, bearings, gears and valves.

Disassemble and overhaul internal combustion engines, pumps, generators, transmissions, and clutches.

Rebuild gas and/or diesel engines.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Use hand tools & precision instruments as well as power tools.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of eight (8) years related experience in heavy equipment and diesel engine repair experience required.

Candidate must possess a valid and current California driver’s license.

Skills:

Strong oral and written communication skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Mathematical aptitude

Must be self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and as a team

Physical Requirments:

Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 60 pounds.

Frequently climb ladders, and occasionally work at heights of 100 feet.

Environment:

Regularly exposed to work near moving parts/equipment.

Regularly exposed to major amounts of dust.

Regularly exposed to a moderate to severe noise levels.

Frequently exposed to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions

Occasionally exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process. 

Note:  Valid Driver’s License required for insurance purposes. Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of this position at any time.
