Position Summary:
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading Fleet Maintenance companies in the US, is seeking an experienced Parts Manager with Automotive or Mobile Service industry experience. This person will directly report to the Director of Parts Operations. The Parts Manager will be responsible for working with P&L leaders to optimize the segments Parts Inventory and Parts purchasing. The Parts manager will leverage reporting on Parts Inventory performance including turns, dead-stock, variances, and time to receive by location and recommend and implement corrective actions as required.
As the Parts Manager you will have oversight over a multi-million dollar investment in parts inventory. Your experience from the Parts Industry and in Vehicle Maintenance, will enable you to advise P&L leaders on how to properly manage this investment. The successful candidate will be able to analyze data, present recommendations and program manage deliverables & action items from and to P&L Leaders. The Parts Manager will ultimately be the responsible for the health and metrics of the assigned Segment.
Compensation: Competitive Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Review and evaluate inventory levels across the Segment’s Footprint and provide recommendations on the ultimate level of inventory required to meet customer demand, maintain desired turn rates, and reduce dead inventory
Work with system support to ensure min-max levels in the system are adjusted to the agreed upon levels.
Lead projects for Dead Inventory burn downs, redeployments, and prevention
Prioritize areas of opportunity and define specific actions to be taken to optimize inventory.
Review and enhance current reporting on parts usage, purchases and inventory that leads to actionable recommendations for improvement.
Evaluate and augment existing purchasing strategies.
Work closely with the Procurement organization to ensure proper reporting on parts purchasing activity as well as evaluate existing parts practices.
Identify opportunities to reduce expenses and increase efficiencies.
Develop a program management infrastructure on parts management including regular internal meetings, working sessions and initiatives-management toward parts optimization.
Develop productive relationships with P&L leaders, Senior Operations Managers and Fleet Managers.
Develop productive relationships with Accounting and Finance, routinely syncing on parts financial reporting to ensure a common understanding of financial performance.
Become a master user and expert on AFS’ Fleet Maintenance System.
Manage cycle count compliance and result
Work with procurement and field staff to decrease time to receive.
Key Competencies and Minimum Education:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Fleet Operations
Proven working experience as an Operational Manager and track record of superior performance including reducing inventories, optimizing inventories and reducing cost.
Comprehensive knowledge of Automotive Parts, Equipment and Commodities
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management in the Automotive Space.
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to create effective presentations including PowerPoints, narrative style reports and business cases.
Working experience of vendor management software
Ability to gather and analyze data.
Superior Excel skills including x-lookups, pivot tables, and data modelling
Strong leadership capabilities.
BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration preferred
