Overview:

The Facility Operations Assistant will work in CFR’s Facility Operations department, and report directly to the Manager of Public Space.

This is a full-time position, and the hours of this position are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. However, this position is considered essential personnel, and will be expected to work flexible hours upon request.

The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to)::

Provide assistance with set-up and breakdown of furniture in event spaces and offices.

Perform cleaning of building interior and exterior.

Assist in routine maintenance work on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

Proficient in floor maintenance and the use of floor machines for hardwood, marble & carpet.

Ability to paint and plaster.

Remove snow and ice and keep sidewalks clean and safe during inclement weather.

Assist with logistics prior to an event, such as checking on furniture set up, overseeing that rooms are properly cleaned and restrooms are stocked, and monitoring temperature set points.

Assist with other related duties as requested or required.

Assist with monitoring and responding to Fire Alarms, Security Alarms, etc.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years related facilities/building experience in a high-profile organization, corporation, or high rise apartment complex.

Knowledge of building operating systems, i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical.

Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills.

Highest level of dependability and professionalism.

Strong attention to detail with proven ability to multi-tasking.

Ability to work independently and on a team; positive, proactive, flexible, results-oriented team player.

Availability to work flexible hours which includes weekends and overtime.

Ability to lift and carry weight in excess of 70 pounds (i.e. - packages, office furniture, etc.)

Pay Range

$55,000 to $58,000 per year

Pay commensurate with experience and education
