Responsibilities:

As a Network Engineer you will be working with a variety of technology tools and systems to implement and maintain WAN/LAN systems. The Network Engineer must be able to maintain the network management platforms, firewall security and others as required. This role is part of a team that improves the customer’s large-scale IT environment with SLRs/SLAs for high availability and uptime. The Network Engineer manages, maintains, plans, schedules, integrates, and troubleshoots the overall network and its devices—WANs, LANs, WLANs, VPNs, VoIP, etc.—and monitors network health. The Network Engineer will handle network installation planning, upgrades, cutovers, and testing. The Network Engineer will implement network security best practices. This is a full time position reporting onsite downtown Chicago, IL while training on process and procedure.  This position can be a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite upon successful completion of the training period. 

Qualifications:

CCNP certification or higher is required

5+ years of experience in a Network Engineering role

Experience with the following software required: Cisco IOS, Cisco NX-OS, Cisco FirePower, and Cisco ASAs

Experience with the following networking hardware required: Cisco Nexus platform 9k Cisco Catalyst 9k series switches, 9800 wireless LAN controllers and enterprise or carrier-class Cisco routers 

Configuration and administration experience with Meraki equipment is preferred

Hands-on experience configuring OSPF and BGP routing is required

The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment

A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required

Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
