The Clinical Program Manager for Jersey Shore Paths to Recovery, in partnership with the Clinical Operations Manager and Medical Director, is responsible for the daily operations of these programs and services. The leader models behaviors that promote patient safety and patient/family satisfaction. These programs support adults and adolescents diagnosed with Substance Use Disorder by connecting them to appropriate treatment and resources needed to achieve long-term sobriety.

Responsibilities:

A day in the life of a Clinical Program Manager at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

1. Partners with the Medical Director and Clinical Operations Manager to ensure quality/safety standards are met at all times and to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.

2. Functions responsibly as a clinical manager. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams when appropriate and consistently utilizes appropriate teaching methodology based upon the learning needs of the patients and staff. Develops instruction sheets and checklists pertaining to protocols.

3. Interprets, implements and enforces department policies and procedures. Maintains current knowledge of state/government regulatory standards and requirements. Maintains knowledge of standards in guiding all aspects of patient care.

4. Manages and/or assists in the recruitment, development and supervision of team members. Creates and sustains an environment that fosters team member engagement. Establishes clear objectives tied to department and/or organizational strategic goals. Coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports. 

5. Tracks, analyzes, and reports on relevant data and metrics as needed and/or requested by grantor and hospital administration. Develops, recommends and/or implements actions or process improvements as appropriate.  

6. Involved in the development and/or management of department budgets. Regularly monitors relevant key financial indicators and performance metrics, modifying business activities where needed in response to changing financial situations.

7. Promotes patient satisfaction through demonstrated commitment to providing excellent service by interacting in a friendly, helpful manner. Communicates potential patient satisfaction issues to the office of patient experience. 

8. Represents the program and hospital at coalition meetings relevant to the population served.

9. Participates in academic training programs as needed.

10. Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

11. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. An earned master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or other related field from an accredited college or university.

2. Five years of post advanced license experience in the provision of mental health and addiction services.

3. Two years of supervisory experience.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

1. Experience working with grants.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

1. LCSW; LPC; PhD; PsyD or highest licensure for degree earned.

2. LCADC
