Position Description:
As a Low Voltage Technicinan II, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities during specific timeframes:
First 30 days, you will learn:How the Low Voltage team installs and maintains low voltage wiring systems throughout the Applied Medical campus
Team equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Applied Medical’s mission, values, and vertically integrated business model, including an introduction to our SOPs and company policies
How to read and understand technical drawings
Within 90 days, you will learn:How to assist in cable installation, termination, and dressing
How to use basic power tools and test equipment
How to work in a highly collaborative team environment and finish projects quickly while adhering to Applied Medical’s standards
After 90 days to one year, you will:Work independently on small projects as well as in a group setting
Ongoing learning:Pulling, terminating, and testing data for low voltage cables
Installing support structures, such as racks, trays, slings, and j-hook
Working from elevated positions on aerial lifts
Position Requirements:
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
Team player with good communication skills
Stand for extended periods of time
Crawl, climb, kneel, squat or bend
Lift approximately 50-80 pounds
Work in tight, confined spaces and at extreme heights
Work in a variety of weather conditions, including cold, heat, and rain
Preferred:
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
Experience reading and understanding technical drawings
Experience working on a team
Electrical experience in similar field
