Overview:

T. Marzetti in Grove City, OH  is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage and oversee safe operations, all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity. The Warehouse Supervisor's responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, preparing relevant documentation, supporting production activities. This supervisor role would support our 2nd and 3rd shift crews, Monday through Thursday evenings. 

Responsibilities:

Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.

Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity.

Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.

Managing supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels to support production.

Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.

Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.

Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.

Communicates effectively – verbally & in writing - with employees, management, vendors and drivers.

Regularly reviews and approves employee hours and attendance infractions using Kronos time management software.

Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Ensures compliance with OSHA, state and local regulations among personnel

Conducts monthly performance assessments

Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED required.

Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field preferred.

Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar leadership position.

Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.

Time management skills and the ability to delegate.

Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.

SAP or ERP equivalent system experience strongly preferred

Experience with Lean or 6 sigma preferred

Working Conditions/Environment:

Works in a warehousing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility.   Must be able to move 50 pounds a distance of 25 feet or more at various frequencies and or intervals.  Must be able to stand for an 8–10 hours shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive tasks.  May be required to work overtime as needed.  The employee may be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment.
