Salary: Competitive, with relocation assistance up to $11,000 for those relocating to Hawai'i

Position Highlights:

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients.

Job Summary/Responsibilities:

The Occupational Therapist plans, develops, and implements rehabilitation programs to help patients regain or improve their physical, mental, and social abilities. You will work in close coordination with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient recovery and ensure a safe discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop individualized care plans according to patients' needs and goals.

Implement progressive rehabilitation programs in line with best practices in occupational therapy.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to address patients' functional needs.

Educate patients and families on therapeutic activities and care plans to support recovery at home.

Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient progress.

Physical Demands:

Frequent standing, walking, and finger dexterity.

Regular bending, lifting (up to 15 pounds), pushing/pulling (up to 50 pounds).

Occasional climbing stairs, crawling, and working on uneven ground.

Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases is possible, as well as cleaning agents.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced, with potential exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases.

Collaborative and supportive team environment focused on patient safety and recovery.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Current Hawai'i State license as an Occupational Therapist.

Certification as Occupational Therapy Registered (OTR) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc.

Current BLS certification.

Experience:

Preferred experience in acute care, outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or home health settings.

Acute care experience highly preferred.
