Overview:
The Outpatient Services Patient Care Technician (PCT)/Scheduler is responsible for reception, scheduling of patients, registration, precertification, insurance verification, charge entry, and daily reconciliations, as well as ensuring appropriate documents are uploaded into the hospital system and electronic medical record. They will perform patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. They will assist patients with personal hygiene, nutrition, elimination, skin care, use of equipment and other clinical and administrative tasks which are delegated and assigned. They will perform delegated support functions and patient care duties that are within the scope of practice for unlicensed assistive personnel. The Outpatient Services PCT/Scheduler will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:
This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of
Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to
Patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and
supporting the delivery health care related services.
Qualifications:
Proof of high school diploma or equivalent, required
Clinical experience or CNA, preferred
Basic keyboarding skills, preferred
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, preferred
Knowledge in ICD – 10 or CPT Coding, preferred
Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) system, preferred
