SUMMARY
The Senior Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to the Division of Overdose Prevention (DOP) at the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC). This role ensures the smooth functioning of daily operations through effective communication, coordination, and management of administrative tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate daily schedules, manage multiple calendars, and organize meetings.
Prepare, edit, and manage a variety of documents, reports, and presentations.
Provide logistical support for meetings, conferences, and events, including scheduling and resource management.
Handle communications including phone calls, emails, and correspondence with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with onboarding and training of new employees, ensuring adherence to administrative policies and procedures.
Maintain office supplies and handle procurement processes.
Support travel arrangements, including creating itineraries and processing travel reimbursements.
Track and manage time and attendance reporting for the team.
Develop and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical, to ensure organized documentation.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Familiarity with administrative software and tools, such as SharePoint and Concur.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required, an associate degree or higher preferred.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administrative support, preferably within a government or healthcare setting.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This role does not typically involve direct supervision but may lead project-specific initiatives.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily office-based at the CDC Chamblee campus, with some potential for telework.
