We are seeking a Senior Highway Engineer/Project Manager with 10+ years of professional experience to be part of our transportation team. This position will lead our engineering team in our Orlando office, primarily serving south Florida. In this position you will be responsible for winning work, recruiting, and developing/growing team members. A strong background in Florida DOT District’s 4 and 6 design policies and procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

Regularly markets services to current and prospective clients to assist in the creation of letters of response and technical proposals/presentations

Oversee engineering designs including geometric alignments, profiles, cross-sections, construction, and maintenance of traffic details

Oversee the creation of engineering documents including typical section packages, pavement

Design reports, and variation/exception report

Perform MicroStation/GEOPAK/Open roads processes to develop and grow team members.

Coordinate plans, calculations, and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams.

Perform internal quality control procedures

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college

Florida Professional Engineering Registration

Minimum of ten years experience

Proficiency in Microstation/GEOPAK/Open Roads processes

Experience with 3D Corridor Modeling is a plus

Knowledge of FDOT plans preparation criteria and design standards

Knowledge of other transportation disciplines and their relationship to roadway design

Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills

Ability to train and mentor entry-level staff

Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
