A new Mechanical Design Engineer vacancy has arisen at a market leading multi-national company based in Lincolnshire. They specialise in the design, manufacture, and testing of turbochargers for a variety of applications.
In this role you will be involved in the design and development of all components that make up a turbocharger. You would work closely with the Analysis Engineering team, and colleagues in the USA, to develop products from concept right through to manufacture. You will also get involved with validation and testing, with a lot of team problem solving involved.
The role responsibilities include:
* 3D modelling of turbocharger components
* Involvement with validation and testing
* Design for Manufacture
* FMEA and Design Reviews
* Liaising with multiple departments
* Full lifecycle development of products
Skills/experience required:
* Strong 3D design experience
* Rotating equipment knowledge would be beneficial (Eg compressors, turbines, pumps, impellers etc), however experience designing engine/powertrain components would be of equal interest
* Understanding of FEA/Calcs
* Design for Manufacture (in particular cast and machined products)
* FMEA
* Experience of designing products through the full lifecycle
* Good communicator
* Must be eligible to work in the UK without Visa sponsorship
This is a permanent role offering hybrid working (with Mondays and Fridays from home), and interesting projects to work on
