A new Mechanical Design Engineer vacancy has arisen at a market leading multi-national company based in Lincolnshire. They specialise in the design, manufacture, and testing of turbochargers for a variety of applications.
In this role you will be involved in the design and development of the complete turbocharger product. You would work closely with the Analysis Engineering team, and colleagues in the USA, to develop new products from concept right through to manufacture. Expected to work semi-autonmously on your projects, it would be ideal if you were an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with good experience designing rotating products.
The role responsibilities include:
* 3D design of turbocharger components
* Technical lead on projects
* Involvement with validation and testing
* Liaising with multiple departments
* Full lifecycle development of products
Skills/experience required:
* Turbocharger design experience ideal but not necessary
* Other rotating equipment knowledge (Eg compressors, turbines, pumps, impellers etc) beneficial but not necessary
* 3D CAD
* Understanding of FEA/Calcs
* Design for Manufacture (in particular cast products)
* FMEA
* Experience of designing products from concept to manufacture
* Good communicator
* Must be eligible to work in the UK without Visa sponsorship
This is a permanent role offering hybrid working (Mondays and Fridays from home), and interesting projects to work on
