SEN Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs)
Location: Newham, London
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive school in Newham, supporting students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and group support for students with special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom.
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
Help students with their physical, emotional, and social development.
Support students in managing their behaviour and overcoming barriers to learning.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children with special needs (preferred but not essential).
A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
