This wonderful SEN School based in Bath are looking to add to their bank supply TAs. This entails working on a casual basis to cover staff absences. This would potentially be short notice cover, the morning of. The school are also always looking for SEN TAs on part time and full time basis.
You would have to be able to come in to cover if you were called from 7.30am. The working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm. The rate of pay is up to £120 per day, depending on experience.
This school is a nurturing environment for pupils aged between 2 to 19 with a variety of learning difficulties. They provide for pupils with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), as well as those with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC).
This SEN School is looking for experienced SEN TAs that are adaptable, confident and experience working in a school with pupils with special educational needs however training and full induction is given.
The right candidate will need to support the educational development of students and work closely with teachers to create a positive learning environment for all pupils.
Duties include:
- Provide support to the students, class teacher and other SEN TAs
- SEND experience including PMLD, SLD, MLD and ASC
- Experience in facilitating personal care or be at least willing to learn
- Experience or happy to learn to work with a variety of ages (2 yrs - 19 years)
- Be a team player and have the ability to effectively communicate with students and colleagues
- Passion for assisting in the educational development of learners
- Advantageous to have experience working in a school however not a must as this school would consider people who have worked in care or supported adults with SEND
