We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team of Risk and Value Specialists. This team are pivotal in ensuring Southern Water's governance and assurance frameworks are upheld, optimizing investment decisions and driving continuous improvement.

As a Risk and Value Specialist, you will facilitate Risk and Value sessions, ensuring structured discussions, balanced outcomes and adherence to process. You will provide second-line governance and assurance to the Risk and Value process. Additionally, you will be responsible for innovating and enhancing methodologies and tools for Risk and Value and Asset Lifecycle Processes. Developing and delivering training to boost team capabilities and self-sufficiency in the ALP process will also be a key part of your role. You will develop KPIs, track performance, and report on R&V and ALP processes.

Your time will be primarily spent on the facilitation of R&V sessions (40%), with the remaining time dedicated to governance and assurance (20%), continuous improvement (20%), training and coaching (15%), and performance reporting (5%).

To excel in this role, you must be able to facilitate structured discussions without bias, ask effective questions and challenge the group. Flexibility, neutrality and strong observational skills are essential. You should have a continuous improvement mindset and organizational skills, along with the ability to build an open and trusting environment where all opinions are valued. Applying robust governance and providing management reporting are crucial aspects of the role.
